Yezidi man killed by remaining ISIS bomb under his home rubbles
A young Kurdish Yezidi man was killed on Tuesday by a bomb blast while searching for documents under the rubbles of his home.
Ali Murad, 25, was living at an IDP camp in the Kurdistan Region since the fall of his hometown into the hands of the Islamic State in 2014.
On Tuesday, he went back to Gir Ozeir to search for family documents under the rubbles of his house before an IS-planted bomb went off.
He lost his life immediately, locals said.
An official from Gir Ozeir renewed a call on the government to find a solution to the large number of war remnants across the liberated areas.
According to Kurdistan 24, at least ten Kurdish Yezidi civilians have lost their life due to IS war remnants during the past four years.
