US Embassy in Bahrain issued security alert after terror attack attempt

The US Embassy in Bahrain issued a security alert on Monday reminding US citizens in the country of “the need for caution and awareness of personal security,” after the Kingdom of Bahrain announced that it had thwarted an Iranian-backed terror attack attempt.

“The Embassy encourages all US citizens to review their personal security plans, remain aware of their surroundings, including local events, and maintain a high level of vigilance,” the alert advised.
