Ukrainian woman killed in terrorist attack in Israel

A Ukrainian citizen was killed as a result of a terrorist attack in Jerusalem on 27 January, Ukraine’s Embassy reported.

Background: An armed man opened fire on people near a synagogue in the Neve Yaakov near a synagogue in Jerusalem’s Neve Yaakov neighbourhood on Friday evening. The police said it was a terrorist attack.

At least seven people were killed, and 10 more were wounded in the attack.

According to the police data, the attacker is a 21-year-old Palestinian who lived in a refugee camp in East Jerusalem.

The attacker tried to run away, but a police patrol shot him dead.

A new shooting happened in Israel on Saturday, 28 January, where a 13-year-old Palestinian teenager, two people, a father and a son, were wounded. The attacker is in the hospital.
