UAE courts jail man for joining the Islamic State terrorist group
UAE courts have jailed a man for joining ISIL and for pledging allegiance to the terror network’s leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi via Twitter, state news agency WAM reported.
The 21-year-old man, from the African island, Comoros, who was only identified by his initials A A A Z, was jailed for five years and fined $272,300.
The court also ordered the confiscation of all equipment used to commit the offenses.
