U.S. imposes sanctions on Russian, Kazakh companies for ties with N. Korea
The United States has imposed sanctions on three companies, including those from Russia and Kazakhstan, for ties with North Korea, a statement on the U.S. Treasury Department’s website published on Wednesday said.
The two companies, Kazakhstan’s Defense Engineering and Russia’s Verus, were sanctioned. Versor s.r.o., a company from Slovakia, was also hit by the sanctions.
The Treasury Department also added Lebanon-based Green Without Borders and its leader Zuhair Subhi Nahla, which, according to the U.S. side, are providing support to the Hezbollah group, to the sanctions lists.
