Two Russian jets carried airstrikes on Islamic State hideouts in the Al-Sukhnah desert

According to SOHR this development comes amid the decline in aerial bombardments by Russia on the Syrian desert since Russia invade Ukraine compared to previous months.

Since early March, SOHR has documented the death of 24 Damascus soldiers and their proxies and injury of 29 others, in attacks carried out by ISIS mercenaries in the Syrian desert.
