Two Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists killed in encounter in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama
Two terrorists were killed in an overnight encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Two suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists were gunned down on Sunday night after security personnel launched a cordon and search operation to track them, reported news agency PTI.
Earlier in the day, the Kashmir police took to their official Twitter handle and confirmed that one more terrorist was killed on Monday morning. Police also recovered two AK rifles from their possession.
On Sunday night, an encounter broke out at Gundipora in Pulwama after security forces launched a cordon and search operation to track terrorists in the area, a police spokesperson told PTI.
He informed that two ultras were killed in the gun battle and two AK rifles and other incriminating materials were recovered from the scene of the encounter.
Yesterday, Kashmir zone Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar had said, “Two Jaish-e-Mohammad militants, including the killer of constable Reyaz Ahmad, were trapped in the encounter with security forces.”
The constable was killed in Pulwama on May 13.
