Two Islamic State terrorists captured in Mosul
A couple of Islamic State (IS) insurgents were captured on Monday in the Iraqi city of Mosul.
Interior Ministry said in a statement that there were arrest warrants for the two jihadists, who were members of the extremist group’s so-called Jund al-Khilafa.
They were arrested in the village of al-Salaha, southern Mosul, by the Nineveh Police Command forces with the cooperations of the citizens in the region, the statement added.
Iraq declared the full victory over the Islamic State in late 2017, but the country still struggles with the remnants of the extremist group in the liberated areas, especially in the provinces of Anbar, Nineveh, and Salahaddin.
