Two ISIS terrorists captured in Anbar
A couple of Islamic State (IS) insurgents were captured on Monday in the Iraqi province of Anbar.
The two militants were arrested in the district of al-Rutba in Anbar by the Iraqi security forces, the Military Intelligence Directorate explained in a statement.
It further pointed out that one of the suspects were found guilty of supporting the militant group financially and booby-trapping vehicles to be used in bomb attacks.
The second one was responsible for gathering information on the families coordinating with the national forces.
Iraqi media reports said earlier the day that three IS extremists were killed in Mosul city.
The Islamic State was declared defeated in late 2017, but the group’s sleeper cells still impose a great threat to civilians and security forces in the country.
