Twelve terrorists detained in anti-ISIS dawn operation in Turkey’s Adana
Turkish police detained 12 people, including eight foreign nationals, in an operation targeting suspected members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the southern province of Adana early on May 5.
Police carried out simultaneous operations in nine different addresses after receiving intelligence. They conducted an extensive search at the targeted addresses and surroundings.
Of the 12 suspects detained, two are Iraqi nationals, five are Syrian nationals, and five are Turkish nationals, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
After an initial health check-up, the suspects were taken to the police headquarters for further interrogation.
The police is reportedly searching for three other suspects on the run.
