Türkiye conducts counterterrorism operation against Daesh in Istanbul
Turkish authorities have detained 46 suspects in a counterterrorism operation targeting the Daesh terrorist group in Istanbul and three other provinces, officials announced.
The operation was launched as part of an ongoing investigation led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office Counterterrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau.
Authorities had identified 47 individuals allegedly affiliated with Daesh, accusing them of engaging in activities supporting the terrorist organization and providing financial assistance.

The investigation revealed that the suspects had connections with individuals in conflict zones and were involved in organizational activities linked to Daesh.
Following the issuance of arrest warrants, Turkish security forces carried out simultaneous operations in Istanbul and three other provinces.
Authorities confirmed that 46 suspects were detained during the raids, while efforts continue to apprehend the remaining individual.
