Turkish Security Forces stopped ISIS attack in Ataturk Mausoleum in Ankara
Turkish security forces have prevented a Daesh terrorist attack in the mausoleum of the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and the building of the first Turkish Parliament in Ankara, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, Turkish media reported that Turkish police eliminated a suicide bomber, allegedly linked to Daesh during an anti-terrorist operation in Ankara. Investigators found a large quantity of explosives in the house of the alleged terrorist, who was killed during confrontation with police.
On Monday, authorities in Ankara banned all public events until the end of November, including Republic Day on October 29 and the Ataturk Memorial Day on November 10 amid terrorist threat.
