Turkish Court remands one ISIS terror suspect in northern Turkey
A Turkish court remanded a Daesh suspect in custody on Tuesday for alleged link to the terror group, according to judicial sources.
A northern Samsun court remanded the suspect, known by initials K.K.A.S, who was among 24 suspects arrested five days ago during a counter-terror operation in the Black Sea province, said sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Meanwhile, in eastern Elazig province, police arrested seven Daesh suspects during simultaneous raids across the city.
Turkish security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to thwart Daesh activities.
More than 300 people have lost their lives in Daesh-claimed attacks in recent years across Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bombs, rocket, and gun attacks.
