Turkish police forces detained nine suspects over connections with the Islamic State
Police in the Turkish capital Ankara managed to detain as many as nine foreign nationals for their alleged connections with Daesh/ISIS terror organization, according to information obtained by Anadolu Agency on Thursday.
The source added that the suspects, who were detained in simultaneous operations in Ankara, were also thought to have relations with terrorists in conflict zones.
The raids were carried out as a result of the detention warrants that were released for 10 suspects by Ankara prosecutor’s office.
Since recognizing Daesh as a terror group in 2013, Turkey has been attacked by Daesh/ISIS terrorists many times, including 10 suicide bombings, seven bombings, and four armed attacks which murdered at least 315 people and wounded hundreds.
