Turkish forces arrest suspected ISIS member fleeing to Bulgaria

Turkish security forces apprehended a suspected member of the Daesh/ISIS terrorist group in the country’s northwestern province of Edirne just as he was attempting to flee to Bulgaria.

The security forces conducted an operation in a first-degree restricted area in Edirne. The suspect, identified as A.H., was captured while trying to escape to Bulgaria, according to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

An investigation is currently underway regarding the arrested suspect.
