Hamas hails Tunisia union’s opposition to normalisation with Israel
Hamas welcomed the position of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) which rejected commercial normalisation with Israel.
This came after the UGTT demanded a major Tunisian company withdraw Israeli goods from its warehouses and called on the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Tourism to investigate a travel agency which organiaes trips to Israel.
Hamas has also expressed its pride in the position of Jordan’s former deputy prime minister, Mamdouh Abadi, who withdrew from a television programme after discovering that one of the guests was an Israeli.
The movement went on to strongly condemned the position of the Muslim World League, which announced its intention to openly invite and host a Jewish delegation in Saudi Arabia.
The movement said it considers normalisation with Israel a stab in the back of the resistance, a violation of the Palestinian people’s rights, and consolidation of the occupation on the land of Palestine.
