ISIS traffic police chief captured West of Mosul
Iraqi security forces captured on Thursday the Islamic State (IS) chief traffic police in west of Mosul, Iraq’s northern province of Nineveh.
Amir Wasiq, a police officer from Nineveh, confirmed the report to BasNews and identified the IS militant as ‘Ata Khalidi’.
He said that Khalidi was captured together with three other men, all of whom served as IS commanders during the group’s rule in Mosul.
“The security forces where informed by civilians in the area about the hideout of the insurgents,” Wasiq said.
The arrestees are being interrogated now before being sent to stand trial.
