Total of 386 airstrikes targeted Islamic State positions since early January
SOHR sources have reported that the number of airstrikes executed by Russian fighter jets on the Syrian desert since morning has risen to 52, as the airstrikes hit different positions in Al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor deserts and positions near Hama desert. However, no casualties have been reported.
Accordingly, the number of airstrikes executed by Russian fighter jets on the Syrian desert since the beginning of January 2022 has exceeded 386.
Yesterday, reliable sources informed SOHR that Russian fighter jets executed over 40 airstrikes on positions in the Syrian desert, where the airstrikes concentrated on Al-Rasafah desert in Al-Raqqah countryside. No casualties were reported.
A day earlier, SOHR activists reported that the number of airstrikes carried out by Russian fighter jets on the Syrian desert since morning rose to 45. It is worth noting that the aerial attacks were concentrated on Al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor desert. SOHR sources had reported a new combing campaign in the Syrian desert, backed by Russian air support.
