Three rockets fired at the Baghdad International Airport
In the early morning on Wednesday, three Katyusha rockets landed inside the premises of Baghdad International Airport, military source confirmed.
The new attack caused no serious damages to the airport facilities, said Iraq’s Security Media Cell in a statement.
In a search operation soon after the attack, security forces discovered rocket launchers in Bakria district of Baghdad, from where the rockets are believed to have been fired.
Baghdad airport has been one of the primary targets for attacks whenever political hostilities break out in the country.
The attack has not yet been claimed by any group or organization.
