Three ISIS terrorist captured in Salahaddin as terror plot is foiled
The Iraqi security forces managed on Sunday to capture three Islamic State (IS) militants in the province of Salahaddin while a plot by the jihadist group was foiled.
The security media cell said in a statement that the trio was wanted by the Iraqi judiciary, and that they were arrested in the city of Samarra, in Salahaddin.
The three were accused of being involved in terrorist activities with the extremist group.
In the meantime, the pro-Iranian Shi’ite militias were able to foil a plot by the insurgents attempting to infiltrate into the city of Samarra.
As reported by Baghdad Today, the Samarra Operations Command of the Shiite Saraya al-Salam brigades repelled the militants who were trying to sneak into the cities of al-Adiyat, Zour Albu-Hammoud and Ain al-Helwa, Iraqi News cited the report, adding that the jihadists were on board of a number of boats.
