ISIS terroritsts killed two Iraqi policemen in Khanaqin

The Islamic State (IS) insurgents killed on Monday two Iraqi federal policemen in an attack on a checkpoint in the disputed Kurdish district of Khanaqin.

A local security source told BasNews that the militants carried out the offensive through a vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED) at the Aliyawa checkpoint near Khanaqin.

The militant group was declared defeated last year, but it still continues to conduct terrorist activities against the security forces and civilians.
