ISIS terrorists are fleeing in groups from Western Anbar towards Iraq’s border with Syria
Governor of the town of Rawa Hossein Ali said that ISIS terrorists are leaving the region in groups for border with Syrian via Northwestern Rawa.
He further said that rapid advances of the Iraqi army men and tribal fighters towards Rawa have been the main cause of the terrorists’ move.
A military source in Anbar province, meantime, said that the Iraqi pro-government forces are marching on ISIL’s centers en route to Rawa.
Relevant reports said on Tuesday that the Iraqi volunteer forces of Hashd al-Shaabi targeted ISIL’s strongholds at the borders with Syria, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
The Hashd al-Shaabi’s artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at ISIL’s positions in the village of al-Dashisheh opposite to Tal (hill) Safouk at border with Syria, destroying a number of vehicles and a large volume of military equipment and killing a number of terrorists.
