ISIS terrorists slaughter family of eight in Mosul
The Islamic State (IS) jihadists have slaughtered a family of eight in western part of Mosul, a security source confirmed on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the area of Kawar, where they killed the chief of the region, his wife, and his six children, the source told Al-Sumariyah News.
The security forces later arrived at the scene but the militants had escaped the crime scene.
The source further pointed out that the bodies of the eight were taken to the forensic department for further investigations on the incident.
Although the Islamic State (IS) was declared defeated in Iraq in late 2017, and in Syria in March this year, the jihadist group’s sleeper cells still impose a great threat to the security forces and civilians in both countries.
