Al Qaeda terrorists praise the Al Shabaab attack on hotel in Kenya

The Al Qaeda has welcomed deadly Al Shabaab attack on Dusit D2 hotel complex in Kenya’s capital Nairobi, leaving 21 people dead.

The Al-Qaeda issues a two-page statement on recent attacks by its linked groups in Afghanistan, Kenya and Mali.

In particular, Al-Qaeda applauds Somali armed group Al-Shabaab attack in Nairobi on January 15 which claimed the lives of 21 people.

Al-Qaeda and Al-Shabaab formally merged in February 2012

Somali armed group, Al Shabaab claimed to have carried out the attack in the Nairobi hotel complex in retaliation for U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The group says its fighters stormed into Dutsit hotel in Nairobi after car bomb explosions in a response to the “witless remarks” of Trump and his declaration of Jerusalem as capital of Israel.

Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta vowed to track down terrorists who staged a deadly assault the day before on a hotel-and-office complex in an upscale suburb of Nairobi.

Kenyan Police said at least 21 people had been killed at the capital’s Dusit D2 complex, where surveillance video showed at least four gunmen walking through the parking lot as the siege began in mid-afternoon.
