Over 1000 ISIS terrorists left in Syria
Over 1,000 members of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group are still fighting inside the Al-Safa region of southern Syria, a military source told Al-Masdar News.
According to the source, a captured Islamic State militant admitted to the Syrian military that there were still 1,500 terrorists in the Al-Safa region; however, the army believed those numbers were hyperbolized.
The source said that the Syrian military estimates that there are between 1,000-1,200 Islamic State terrorists that are still active in southern Syria.
These estimates are most likely true, given that the Islamic State has managed to fend off several Syrian Army attacks at the northeastern and southwestern axes of the Al-Safa region.
ISIS is still in control of several points inside the Al-Safa region, including one last water source in the Qabr Sheikh Hussein area.
