Terrorists launched rockets against Alepo in northwestern Syria
Extremist groups attacked on Sunday with rockets several neighborhoods and the International Airport of Alepo, 355 kilometers north of this capital, causing two dead and three injured, the Syrian News Agency, SANA, reported.
SANA added that three missiles fell near the airport and the military air base of al-Nairanb. Syrian armed forces opened artillery fire and destroyed two missile launching pads of the terrorists.
The terrorist groupings positioned on the western outskirts and the northwestern countryside of Aleppo city fired a number of rocket shells on the residential neighborhoods of Masaken al-Sabeel, Tishreen Street, al-Shahbaa al-Jadideh, al-Khaldiyeh and al-Nile Street.
The local Police Command confirmed two civilians were killed and three wounded, among them two children who admitted to a local hospital.
Alepo was freed from terrorism late 2016, however, areas to the west and south of the city are still under control of terrorist groups that frequently attack residential areas and civilian and military facilities.
