At least 15 ISIS terrorists killed in Western Anbar

At least 15 Islamic State (IS) insurgents were killed in a joint military campaign in western Anbar province on Wednesday, a report said.

“The Jazeera Operations Command, in collaboration with the U.S.-led Coalition troops, managed to kill 15 militants inside a cave, northeast of Akashat region,” Iraqi News quoted a statement by the ministry’s Security Media Center.

There were explosive belts and weapons of the extremists in the cave, according to the statement, as cited by the news agency.

Even though the militant group has been announced defeated since late of last year, its sleeper cells are still active in most liberated areas.
