ISIS terrorists disguised as foreign troops attack Afghan Interior Ministry
The attack started with an explosion at the entrance of the ministry 12:10p.m. and it involved use of grenades and gunfire.
The Interior Ministry in a statement said that the attack involved 10 suicide attackers who arrived in two armoured vehicles and who were wearing foreign military uniforms.
The attackers were declared dead after more than two hours of siege. One policeman was killed and five more were injured in the incident, according to the officials.
The Interior Ministry is heavily fortified and its key buildings are located far from the main entrance.
Islamic State or ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
