At least 12 ISIS terrorists are killed between Diyala and Salahaddin
At least 12 Islamic State (IS) insurgents were killed in an airstrike conducted by the Iraqi Air Force in an area between the provinces of Diyala and Salahaddin on Wednesday.
Talking to Mawazin News on condition of anonymity, a source said that the Iraqi jets targeted a group of jihadists in the Islamial-Maita basin on the border areas between Diyala and Salahaddin.
According to the source, five other extremists were also trapped in the air campaign.
Meanwhile, a senior IS leader was killed on Wednesday in a different airstrike in the province of Anbar.
The extremist group still continues to carry out terrorist activities against the security forces and civilians while it was declared defeated last year.
