Infiltration bid foiled in Kupwara
On Wednesday, police and army thwarted an infiltration bid at Line of Control in Machil sector of Kupwara district. Two unidentified terrorists were killed during the operation.

High alert in Jammu
Meanwhile, following intelligence inputs, a high alert has been declared in Jammu that terrorists are readying for major regional attacks.
Sources say all the Army installations along the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway were put on alert, and schools inside cantonment areas in Jammu, Samba and Kathua were closed on Wednesday in the wake of threat perception.
Jammu region has been high on terrorist radar and is spreading to the region, which was almost free from terrorists.
Last month, five Army personnel were killed, and another was seriously injured after terrorists in Poonch attacked their vehicle.
Their vehicle was ambushed by “unidentified terrorists”, who “took advantage of heavy rains and low visibility”.
