French woman among six ISIS terrorists arrested in Afghanistan

Six ISIS terrorists including a French woman have been arrested in Afghanistan’s northern Jowzjan province, Afghan officials said Friday.

They were arrested in Darzab district, Afghanistan’s intelligence agency National Directorate of Security said.

Daesh emerged in Afghanistan at the beginning of 2015.

In November last year, Afghan officials reported presence of French nationals in the ranks of Daesh in Jowzjan province.

Mohammad Raza Ghafoori, a spokesman for provincial governor, had confirmed presence of three French nationals including two women and a man in the province.

He had said that the fighters had been providing training on suicide bombing and other terror acts.
