Terrorist stabbing attack reported in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood in Jerusalem

A terrorist attack has been reported in Jerusalem Friday morning, in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood. According to initial reports, a female terrorist armed with a knife attempted to stab a passerby walking through the local promenade.

One person was very lightly injured in the attack. Emergency first responders were called to the scene and treated the victim, who did not require hospitalization.

Emergency responders overpowered the female terrorist suspected in the attack, and handed her over to police custody once officers arrived on the scene.

“I was walking [at the promenade] when I heard shouting,” said United Hatzalah first responder Yehiel Maybereg. “Some civilians were frightened by a woman brandishing a knife. I ran towards her and knocked the knife out of her hand. At the same time I was calling the United Hatzalah station to dispatch police to the scene. With the help of other civilians, we managed to overpower her and hold her until police arrived.”
