ISIS terrorist group is using mosques as terror cells
The public prosecutor office of Turkey’s Van district completed an ongoing investigation against 23 ISIS suspects, 12 of whom are under arrest. According to the charge sheet submitted to Van 2nd High Criminal Court, ISIS used “mosques” to form terror cells. The terrorist group transformed some houses into so-called mosques to carry out planning and meetings for terrorist activities in the region.
Moreover, the report also emphasized that these houses were actually used to train radical ISIS terrorists and to prepare them for mass attacks.
It was also reported that the suspected terrorists who successfully created the terror cells on the instructions of senior ISIS terrorists, were arrested while they were about to carry out mass attacks for which their preparations had been completed.
Additionally, it was found that participating in the elections of Turkey was characterized as “sin” by the ISIS terrorist organization.
More than 300 people have lost their lives in ISIS-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket and gun attacks.
Turkish security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to thwart ISIS attacks.
