Eight ISIS terrorist group members captured in Mosul
At least eight members of the Islamic State (IS) have been arrested during an operation in Mosul by the Iraqi forces, said country’s interior ministry.
“The Rapid Response troops of Nineveh police managed to arrest eight Islamic State members, who are wanted for judiciary,” Saad Maan, spokesperson for the ministry, was quoted by Iraqi News.
The official said one of the arrestees was working with IS’s so-called Security Department once the extremist group was in control of Mosul.
The rest fought for IS before it was defeated and ousted from Mosul, he added.
The operation was conducted in al-Islah al-Zera’ie district, west of Mosul.
