Ten members of Islamic State and Taliban terrorist groups detained in Kunar

Local officials announced the arrest of ten members of ISIS and Taliban.

The men were arrested a week later during operations and inspections in the city and a number of districts.

Mohammad Iqbal Sayeed, the governor of Kunar told BNA, seven of the detainees were members of the Taliban and the other three were ISIS terrorists.

He said the men were detained during operations and during inspections by national security forces.

Governor of Kunar says the terrorists intended to organize new terrorist attacks.

Several weapons have been recovered from these terrorists.

Governor of Kunar said that the files of the five detainees had been sent to the prosecutor’s office and that the files of the other five terrorists were to be sent to the judiciary after completing the investigations of security forces.
