Teenager charged with 10 terror offences after he was arrested on a north London street
An 18-year-old man has been charged with 10 terror offences after he was arrested on a north London street.
Sudesh Mamoor Faraz Amman, from Harrow, was arrested by officers, who were assisted by armed police, in the early hours of this morning.
The teenager was detained under the Terrorism Act and taken into custody at a south London police station.
Officers also searched an address in north London as part of the investigation.
Amman has been charged with seven offences of making a record of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
He was also charged with three offences of dissemination of terrorist publications.
Amman will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court later today.
As part of the same investigation, a 19-year-old woman was arrested in south London on Wednesday.
She has been bailed to return to a south London police station on a date in late June.
Another 18-year-old man was arrested in Bishop’s Stortford on Wednesday.
He has been bailed to return to a south London police station on a date in mid June.
