Teenage boy detained by the authorities in west London on suspicion of encouraging terrorism
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of encouraging Islamist terrorism.
Officers arrested the teenager at an address in west London on Wednesday morning as part of an ongoing investigation by the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command.
He was held on suspicion of encouraging terrorism by sharing extreme Islamist material online, the Met Police said in a statement.
The suspect’s home is being searched and he remains in custody at a London police station.
