ISIS also targeting young women in TS and AP
ISIS targeting young women is not just restricted to Kerala but is an all-India phenomenon, including in Telangana, said state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar here on Monday.
Speaking to mediapersons after watching the movie ‘The Kerala Story’, Sanjay advised Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to watch the movie along with his Cabinet colleagues to get a feel of the danger that is lurking in the shadows.
Terrorists are targeting young women in the two Telugu states under the guise of ‘love jihad’, which is part of a larger conspiracy to unleash terror in the country, he said.
Sanjay said that he would invite the movie director and producers of the film to his Hindu Ekta Yatra in Karimnagar on May 14. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and some senior party leaders, including TS in-charge Tarun Chugh, are expected to attend the event.
Sanjay said The Kerala Story is a cautionary tale for the Hindu community, and that ISIS was targeting not just Hindu girls but also those from the Christian community. What the movie depicted is just five to 10 per cent of incidents that have occurred where young women from India were targeted by ISIS. he said.
“It was only after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister that incidents of old men from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations coming here to marry young girls have stopped. Is such activity sanctioned by the Quran,” he asked.
Sanjay said the Telangana government should give tax exemption to ‘The Kerala Story’ and called on everyone to watch the movie adding “terrorists are seeking to destabilize India and the entire society should be on the alert and foil such devious plans.”
Rajya Sabha member Dr K. Laxman, who also watched the movie, said, “It has given a realistic picture. People should be cautious about those who are supporting terror organizations while providing political and legal support. This is not a movie meant for entertainment. There are lessons to be learnt.”
He also said the next movie that everyone should watch when released is ‘The Razakar Files’.
