Taliban terrorists dig a tunnel inside Afghan security forces camp and kills more than twenty soldiers
Media outlets reported that Taliban captured an army base in Farah’s Bala Buluk on Sunday night.
The militants have reportedly made their way tunneling inside the base.
Taliban dug an underground passage leading to the base, reports indicated.
According to the provincial officials, 22 Afghan national defense and security force members including commandos were killed in the attack.
The incident happened in the Shewan area, of Bala Buluk district, following the outflank attack by the Taliban the district has fallen to the Taliban, media reported.
Its reported that 4 ANDSF members are also missing in action.
Ministry of Defense have not yet confirmed the incident.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
In another incident, 13 civilians were injured in a Taliban mine explosion in Farah province on Monday afternoon.
Local officials said, at least 13 people were wounded in a Taliban IED in Farah’s city.
The blast reportedly was meant to target deputy chief of Farah’s National Directorate of Security.
Moreover, four security force members including a commander were killed in a Taliban attack in Nahrin district of northern Baghlan province on Sunday night.
Local sources told the media that the Taliban also captured four other security force members, but one of them who was injured escaped to safety.
Following the attack Taliban also took equipment belonging to security force members, and the group announced to be responsible for the incident.
