Tactics of terror: Three-man ISIS cell created suicide shootout to cause maximum devastation in Istanbul jihadist attack

Turkish investigators are examining CCTV footage, witness statements and mobile phone video as they piece together the tactics used by the terrorists who blew themselves up in Istanbul last night.
The Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said security officials had told him the first ISIS suicide bomber blew himself up outside the terminal building at Ataturk Airport in an attempt to cause confusion and allow his accomplices to get inside without being noticed.

A second bomber entered and went upstairs before setting off his device and a third attacker caused more devastation.

In total 42 people were killed and 238 injured in an attack which CIA director John Brennan said ‘bore the hallmarks’ of ISIS.
