Syrian forces put on high alert and arrest Islamic State members over the escape of two women of ISIS families
SOHR sources have reported that two women of ISIS families have succeeded to escape from Section V in Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hassakah.
Following this incident, the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” have brought military reinforcements to Al-Hawl town and the camp, carring out combing campaigns in the town and camp in search of the two women.
Security forces also have raided a number of tents in Al-Hawl camp, arresting a number of ISIS members of different nationalities.
Moreover, Asayish forces have announced a major security alert in Al-Hawl camp, fearing possible attacks by ISIS members.
The security forces have issued a decision to disrupt the work of the organisations operating in the camp for a week from tomorrow, March 17, to March 23.
On March 12, Reliable sources informed SOHR that Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hasakah countryside, which hosts families of ISIS members and leaders, was witnessing an alert of SDF security forces. SDF security forces carried out raids on some tents in search of ISIS cells and weapons. This security campaign coincided with the flight by international coalition helicopters over the camp.
On March 7, SOHR Reliable sources reported that Internal Security Forces “Asayish” foiled an attempt to help women of ISIS families from Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hasakah countryside on Sunday evening. Internal security forces managed to arrest the smugglers in the vicinity of the camp.
It is worth noting that the smugglers coordinated with ISIS cells deployed in the Syrian desert to help the women to sneak out of the camp.
