Syrian army forces arrests former Islamic State members in al-Busayrah east of Deir ez-Zor
SDF, backed by International Coalition air support, carried out a raid, after midnight last night, in al-Busayrah, east of Deir ez-Zor, during which four young former members of the Islamic State were arrested.
A young man, who defected from regime forces, was also arrested for inciting demonstrations demanding oil and improving the living condition. One civilian said that he lost amounts of money after his house was raided by SDF.
Yesterday on January 30, Syrian Observatory sources reported that Islamic State cells chased a military vehicle belonging to SDF, sources added that gunmen from these cells on nearly 20 motorcycles attacked the military vehicle in Sweidan town in eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, injuring five fighters, some in serious condition.
The Syrian Observatory also reported yesterday that unidentified masked men raided al-Shuhayl hospital in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, killing a former leader of the Islamic State organization, after he was shot on the road of al-Shuhayl town.
Meanwhile, member of SDF was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Thiban town at the same countryside.
