Two ISIS terror suspects remanded in custody in Turkey
Two suspects were remanded in custody in Turkey’s western province of Sakarya in an operation against ISIS, according to security sources Thursday.
Sources who spoke on condition of anonymity said the suspects were designated by security forces to conduct activities related to the terror group.
Counter-terror police conducted an operation and arrested the suspects who are Iraqi nationals.
The suspects were brought before a court and remanded in custody.
Security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to rid Turkey of Daesh terrorists.
More than 300 people have lost their lives in Daesh-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror group has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket and gun attacks.
