Spokesperson for terrorist organization calls on Israeli Arabs to support
Hamas spokesperson in Jerusalem, Mohammed Hamada, on Sunday praised the residents of eastern Jerusalem, saying, “The civil uprising of the Arab residents of Jerusalem is an important step to curb the aggression of the occupation and the escalation of its crimes and actions that harm our people.”
Hamada noted that “the Palestinian resistance organizations will never break and will never fear the terror of the occupation and this rebellion is not the end of the story in dealing with the crimes of the occupier and its terrorist decisions.”
“Our people will continue the uprising with all the means at their disposal to protect themselves and to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the uprising will expand to all neighborhoods, and our people will not rest until the occupation comes to an end and freedom and independence are achieved,” he added.
He called on the Arab residents of Jerusalem to continue the fight in order to force Israel to withdraw from its “racist” policy, and called on Israeli Arabs to support them.
On Saturday night, Arabs in eastern Jerusalem caused disturbances and set up roadblocks on Saturday night following the decision of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir not to return the body of the terrorist who carried out the attack in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood of Jerusalem.
Ben Gvir said on Sunday morning that he had ordered the continuation of the Israel Police operation in eastern Jerusalem, adding, “The State of Israel will not surrender to a handful of terrorists. The criminals who block the neighborhoods are instigators, act against the law and want anarchy in eastern Jerusalem, and we must not allow them to do that. Of course, the collective must be distinguished from those criminals, but the Israel Police must show a heavy hand and zero tolerance towards these lawbreakers and the operation will continue.”
