Nine Iraqi soldiers killed, seven abducted by ISIS terrorists in Anbar
Islamic State (IS) militants attacked on Sunday the Iraqi troops in Rutba town located in western Anbar province near the Syrian border, killing and injuring 18 soldiers, and abducting 7 others.
A security source stated an Iraqi force of 60 border guards was ambushed by IS militants on their way to their base in Rutba town.
The attack was resulted in the death of 9 Iraqi troops and injuring 18 others with 7 other troops being captured by the militants.
According to the source, the extremists took advantage of the bad weather to conduct the offensive.
