Seven Islamic State hideouts destroyed in Kirkuk
Iraqi security forces destroyed seven hideouts in Kirkuk used by Islamic State (IS) sleeper cells.
Iraqi War Media Cell confirmed the report in a statement on Thursday, saying that the hideouts were destroyed during an operation near Ramal village of Kirkuk province.
Four explosive devices made by the IS jihadists were found in the hideouts, the statement said.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Iraqi security forces killed three IS jihadists in a hideout near Hawija, some 55 kilometers southwest of Kirkuk.
Several AK-47 rifles, and piles of food, were found at the hideout before it was destroyed.
