Seven Bosnian men jailed for having joined the Islamic State
Seven Bosnian men that fought for the terrorist organisation Islamic State (IS) were on Monday given prison sentences ranging from one to three years at their trial before the State Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was proved beyond doubt that the seven men had fought for IS in Syria in 2013 and 2014.
They were also charged with violating Bosnia and Herzegovina’s laws and with illegal arms possession.
Their verdicts are subject to appeal.
The accused are Enes Mesic, who received three years, Adem Karamuja (two years), Mirza Kapic (22 months), Jasmin Jasarevic and Salko Imamovic (16 months each), and Ibro Delic and Samir Hadzalic (one year each).
