Iraqi Central Court sentenced ten foreign women to death for having links to ISIS terrorist group
Iraqi Central Criminal Court has sentenced ten foreign women to death and life in jail for links with the Islamic State (IS), said an official.
“The Central Criminal Court issued death sentences against five female militants, two of whom are Azeri and three others are from Kyrgyzstan, over involvement with the Islamic State,” Abdul Satar Bayraqdar, spokesperson for the High Judicial Council was quoted by Iraqi News, adding that two Russians, one Azeri, and one French received life sentences.
According to the source, the suspects were involved in terrorist activities against the national army.
Baghdad recently, has implemented multiple death or life sentences against foreign female IS members.
Many of the IS members in prisons in Iraq were arrested during the operations against the extremist group last year.
