ISIS kills six Iraqi security personnel in Western Kirkuk

At least six Iraqi security personnel were killed in an Islamic State (IS) attack in the district of Dibiz west of Kirkuk overnight on Tuesday, sources reported.

According to the information BasNews has obtained from local sources, the militants had raided the al-Tank neighborhood where they killed four federal police officers and two other policemen tasked with protection of oil installations.

The extremists have also kidnapped a few other security forces in the district to an unknown area.

The insurgents’ attack on the district has caused panic among the people of the area, sources said.
