SDF member assassinated in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside

SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen believed to be ISIS members, have directly shot an SDF member in Al-Shahil town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, killing him immediately.

This comes in light of the escalating ISIS activity in different SDF-held areas in northern and eastern of Syria.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented 111 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 88 persons dead: 34 civilians and 54 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
